According to the , Newcastle would require a Premier League record offer "in excess of" £150m (€181m/$189m) in order to part with Isak. A similar valuation previously scared off Chelsea and the Magpies are reported to be "relaxed" about the situation, with "no interest in selling".

Arsenal are the club most heavily linked with Isak, who has scored 32 Premier League goals since the start of 2023-24. The Gunners have lacked a prolific striker since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left, despite speding a substantial amount of Gabriel Jesus in 2022. But there could be rival interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and even Liverpool if Mohamed Salah is to leave Anfield.
WHAT ISAK SAID
During the November international break, Isak told reporters in Sweden: "I am commenting on my situation in Newcastle, and I have never had any problem there. I am fully focused on my task there and that we will have a fantastic season. There are still great opportunities for that. I have no thoughts about anything else."

Isak still has until 2028 on the six-year contract he signed upon joining Newcastle in the summer of 2022. But while he has no stated desire to leave the club, a new and improved deal is likely going to be necessary to keep the player in the long-term. Talks have previously been postponed and will have to begin at some point.
Manchester United are working on a deal to sign another new face for Erik ten Hag this summer and could be set to thrash out a loan move to bring him to Old Trafford.
Potential busy end to summer for Ten Hag and Man Utd
With the Premier League now back underway, Manchester United are not yet ready to compete according to manager Erik ten Hag. Ahead of the clash with Fulham at Old Trafford on Friday, the Dutch manager admitted as much.
"The team is not ready but the league starts. There are more managers who definitely have this problem but we have to make a start. We can't hide from it. We can't run away from it. We have to deal with it."
They have signed four players this summer, but United fans were only treated to the sight of three of them in the opening night win, with Leny Yoro expected to be sidelined until November with a foot injury.
Leny Yoro for Man Utd.
Nonetheless, they will have been encouraged by what they saw, with Joshua Zirkzee coming off the bench to net the winning goal three minutes from time, while defender Noussair Mazraoui looked solid and dependable.
But with the final days of the transfer window approaching, there is still a lot to do at Old Trafford. The futures of Jadon Sancho, Scott McTominay, Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen remain unclear amid speculation linking them with moves away.
Meanwhile, United are keen to add a midfielder to their ranks before the deadline on August 30th. Now, they may be set to make some progress on that front.
Man Utd in talks over loan move for midfielder
That comes as Fabrizio Romano reports that the Red Devils are locked in talks with PSG over a move for Manuel Ugarte, but that they are now exploring a loan move with an obligation to buy the player in 12 months' time.

It comes with the French side yet to compromise on their £51m asking price for the midfielder, who only arrived in Paris 12 months ago, penning a five-year deal worth £102,000-a-week at the Parc des Princes.
But now, he looks set to leave after being left out of their squad for the Ligue 1 opener last weekend and has his heart set on Manchester United. Romano adds that Ugarte is "pushing a lot" to make the move happen, having already agreed personal terms over a move to Old Trafford earlier this summer.

Ugarte's arrival could be complicated should McTominay stay at the club though, with a move to Fulham having collapsed and the Cottagers now set to sign one-time Manchester United target Sander Berge instead.
But should a loan move for Ugarte work, it would allow the Red Devils more financial fair play flexibility, with the permanent move not coming into effect for another 12 months.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have made some impressive signings over the past few seasons. Since they returned to the Premier League in 2018/19, they have not spent heavily, but have signed some quality players and managed to sell them on for a superb profit. The likes of Pedro Neto spring to mind, whom they sold to Chelsea for £51m.
This has certainly been a consistent transfer policy for the Midlands club, and other players who fit that include the likes of Ruben Neves and Matheus Nunes, who now play their trade for Al Hilal and Manchester City, respectively. Their current squad certainly has players who fit such a mould, too.
Wolves’ recent major signings
Over the course of the past few seasons, the Old Gold have brought in several enterprising players to Molineux, who have put in some important contributions to their survival in the Premier League.
One of those players is Matheus Cunha. He cost £43m from Atletico Madrid, a deal that went through in the summer of 2023, after moving to Molineux on an initial loan deal in the previous winter transfer window. He has been superb for the club so far, last season scoring 12 goals and registering seven assists.
The Brazilian attacker was the Old Gold’s leading scorer and leading assist-maker last campaign, finishing with 19 goals and assists in the Premier League in total, as per Sofascore. Finishing slightly behind him was South Korean attacker Hwang Hee-chan.
The 28-year-old cost the Old Gold £14m from RB Leipzig, also joining the club on an initial loan deal, as Cunha did. He was also impressive last season, scoring 12 goals and registering three assists in 29 Premier League games.

Other notable additions for Wolves over the past few seasons include the likes of midfielder Joao Gomes and experienced attacker Pablo Sarabia. However, one player who has not lived up to expectations since joining the Old Gold is Sasa Kalajdzic.
Sasa Kalajdzic’s Wolves career so far
It has been an incredibly tough career at Molineux so far for 27-year-old striker Kalajdzic. He has been sadly plagued by injuries and has not really been able to show the form he did at his former club, VFB Stuttgart.
Wolves strikerSasa Kalajdzic.
The Old Gold signed the attacker from the German club in 2022, for a fee in the region of £15m. This deal came off the back of 24 goals and 12 assists in 60 games for Stuttgart, including 16 Bundesliga goals in 33 games in 2020/21.
He was previously linked with Borussia Dortmund, and the German giants believed that he could be their long-term replacement for Manchester City star Erling Haaland. Standing at 6 foot 7, the similarities between the deadly City marksman and the Austrian centre-forward are clear to see.
Eventually, it was Wolves who managed to bring the striker to the club. However, almost immediately he suffered a terrible anterior cruciate ligament injury which saw him out for the remainder of the season.
The 27-year-old returned the following campaign but struggled to find form so was loaned out back to the Bundesliga, to Eintracht Frankfurt the following season. Sadly, he managed just six games before suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury once again. It is an injury he is still sidelined with, and is now back at Molineux to undergo rehab.
It is incredibly frustrating for both Kalajdzic and Wolves that he has not been able to live up to the hype he came with, and has struggled so much with injury issues.
So far, the Austrian has played just 14 games for the Midlands outfit scoring three goals and registering one assist. In that same time frame, Haaland has scored 97 goals in 102 games for City.
There is no doubt that Wolves will hope their number 18 can overcome his recurring injury issues and rediscover his best form, with the aim of getting him back to the type of player who was once touted to fill the shoes of Haaland.
Their new Jota: Wolves' "Henry-esque" star has seen his value rise by £20m
Leeds United will hope the amount of outgoings that have happened already this hectic transfer window doesn't derail their Championship season completely, after a less-than-ideal opening few games back in the testing division.
Largie Ramazani's recent arrival onto the scene in West Yorkshire will have raised spirits, away from the doom and gloom mood that had engulfed proceedings after the quick fire departures of Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter, as Daniel Farke attempts to steer the Whites to another promotion charge with what he has at his disposal.
Wilfried Gnonto will be important to Leeds' chances of winning promotion, if he stays put between now and the imminent close of the transfer window, away from any more new faces joining.
Gnonto's time at Leeds
Gnonto has had an up-and-down relationship with the hardened Leeds masses, with the Italian attacker once handing in a transfer request to try and push through a move back up to the Premier League, after the Whites suffered a disastrous relegation.
There are new murmurs in the air that the former FC Zurich man is clamouring for a top-flight return now, but with the amount of high-profile departures that have already taken place this summer irritating the agitated Whites fanbase, it feels unlikely another star would be allowed to walk away.
Wilfried Gnonto
Last season, despite the start of it centring in on Gnonto's refusal to play, the electric 20-year-old very much played his part in Farke's men making the playoffs, with the diminutive forward picking up eight goals and two assists across the regular campaign.
Those ten goal contributions followed on from the youngster acting as a bright spark in the top-flight for Leeds, even as relegation started to stare the West Yorkshire outfit in the face, with two goals and four assists managed from 34 Premier League games.
Gnonto already has more goals donning Leeds white this season, even in its relative infancy, with this solo strike trickling in against Portsmouth opening his 2024/25 account, as the Italian continues to live up to his billing as being a "special" talent that was once handed out to him by former Whites coach Michael Skubala.
Farke and Co will pray that their new recruit Ramazani can become their next Gnonto for the Championship promotion candidates over time, with a high reported fee of £9.3m to win his services making him an expensive buy from Spain.
The standout Whites number 29 would only cost a meagre £3.8m back in 2022, in contrast, with his valuation now above that of the ex-Almeria winger's, according to Football Transfers, showcasing how the club truly won the lottery on that bargain capture two years ago.
Gnonto's value in 2024
As per the site, the 5 foot 8 attacker is now worth a bumper £18.4m, which is nearly double the reported fee Leeds have paid to snap up Ramazani.
Gnonto was once an unknown entity when it came to the English game, but the £3.8m once spent by Leeds now looks to be an absolute bargain, especially when you consider his increased importance as a livewire in an entertaining Whites group that used to boast the likes of Summerville and Rutter.

With that sumptuous duo now both at West Ham United and Brighton and Hove Albion respectively, Gnonto is actually the most valuable asset at Elland Road currently, when looking at the table above, with the powers that be at Leeds anxious that he could try and push through a last-minute move before the close of August to ditch the Championship side.
Ramazani will have been purchased to give Leeds some needed firepower, having fired in three goals last season for Almeria in La Liga, but it would be an extreme ask for him to be the main man if Gnonto does depart.
Largie Ramazani
The former Manchester United youngster already has that high £9.3m price tag above his head that could work against him, but everyone at Leeds will hope he can shine this season alongside Gnonto remaining put.

Andrew Salter, Dan Douthwaite stand firm for Glamorgan, who shake hands five down in second innings

Nottingham Forest have had a relatively quiet summer transfer window compared to their usual standards, with just seven first-team additions arriving at the City Ground.
The Reds infamously went crazy during the summer window of 2022, making over 20 new additions in a bid to remain competitive in their first Premier League campaign in over two decades.
However, the club are known for making frantic moves on deadline day, as demonstrated this time last year, making seven signings in one day – which included the club-record deal for midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.
It’s highly unlikely Nuno Espírito Santo’s side will replicate such numbers today, but there is a high likelihood that a variety of new players could arrive on Trentside.
One player in particular has caught the eye, with a deal potentially being completed before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
Nottingham Forest in talks to sign Premier League star
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest have placed James Ward-Prowse on their shortlist, with the transfer guru revealing late last night on a live stream (23mins:17secs) that talks are "ongoing" regarding a potential move to the East Midlands.
West Ham player James Ward-Prowse.
It’s unclear at this stage whether a move would be a loan move or a permanent one, but the 29-year-old is on the club’s radar.
The former Southampton ace could be brought in on a temporary basis, acting as cover for Danilo after it was confirmed that the Brazilian would be out until December at least after surgery on his ankle issue sustained against Bournemouth.
The Hammers ace would be an excellent addition to Nuno’s side, potentially becoming the Reds’ new version of a talent who has starred since his move to the City Ground.
Why Ward-Prowse could be Gibbs-White 2.0 for Forest
Midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White has been a crucial player for Forest following his £25m move from Wolves during the summer of 2022.
Morgan Gibbs-White celebrates for Nottingham Forest
Eyebrows were raised at the magnitude of the fee given his lack of impact in England’s top flight, however, the deal looks to be a superb one two years on, with the 24-year-old securing his first senior England call-up for the fixtures against Ireland and Finland next month.
He’s enjoyed a brilliant start to the new campaign, scoring the decisive goal in the 1-0 win against Southampton last weekend – securing a first win of the campaign for Nuno’s side.
With Ward-Prowse, the Reds have the opportunity to replicate a deal for Gibbs-White, with FBref ranking the duo as similar players based on their respective stats from last season.
When delving into their stats, the “unbelievable” West Ham ace, as described by former boss Ralph Hassenhuttl, matched Gibbs-White for combined goals and assists, despite featuring in a deeper role than the England international.

Whilst he managed slightly fewer progressive passes per 90, Ward-Prowse achieved a higher pass completion rate, winning more tackles – demonstrating his excellent qualities as a box-to-box midfielder.
However, arguably his biggest asset is his set-piece ability, with the 29-year-old scoring 17 direct free-kicks in the Premier League – the second most in history, just one behind the legendary David Beckham.
James Ward-Prowse for West Ham
The Reds have struggled with their set-pieces in recent times, scoring the fourth-lowest number of goals from corners and free kicks last season – managing just seven over the course of the campaign.
If he were to move to the East Midlands, Ward-Prowse would be a superb addition and one that would further improve the options at Nuno’s disposal in the midfield department.
He could link up well with Gibbs-White, providing added ammunition for the attacking midfielder to further improve his sensational goal return from last season – whilst adding a different dimension in attacking areas with his ability to cause issues with his quality from a dead ball situation.

The club may finally be able to finish their centre-forward hunt.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is aiming for a fifth straight Premier League title this season in what could be his final campaign in charge.
The Spanish head coach’s contract is currently due to expire next summer and it remains to be seen whether or not he will continue his spell at The Etihad.
Guardiola has won six Premier League titles so far and his work in the transfer market has been key to that over the years, going all the way back to John Stones in his first window in charge.
The central defender joined from Everton for a reported fee of £47.5m in the summer of 2016, and has enjoyed a terrific career in Manchester.
John Stones' current market value
At the time of writing, Transfermarkt places his current market value at €38m (£32m), which is an expected decrease for the 30-year-old, who has been at the club for eight years.
The City number five has racked up 258 appearances in all competitions for Guardiola and, of course, has been there for all six of the Spaniard’s title wins in England.
He has been in the PFA Team of the Year on two occasions, for the 2020/21 and 2022/23 campaigns, and won six domestic cups, alongside the Champions League.
Stones has been a terrific signing for City because of his longevity and quality, as shown by his Team of the Year inclusions, since his move from Everton in 2016.
He may not be the best centre-back signing made by Guardiola during his reign, however, as Ruben Dias has been an exceptional piece of business so far.
Ruben Dias' current market value
At the time of his arrival from Benfica in the summer of 2020, the Portugal international was valued at €35m (£29.5m) and his current value sits at a whopping €80m (£67.6m).
That is an increase of 129% in his four years at The Etihad, which shows that Guardiola hit the jackpot when he snapped up the central defender in 2020.
Dias enjoyed a fairytale debut season in England in the 2020/21 campaign, as he won the Premier League Player of the Season award for his efforts at the back.

The 27-year-old titan has already racked up 182 appearances for City in all competitions and was named in the aforementioned PFA Team of the Year awards alongside Stones in both the 2020/21 and 2022/23 seasons.
Despite being three years younger than Stones, Dias has already matched his number of PFA Team of the Year selections and won a Player of the Season award in the top-flight, which the England international has not managed.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to secure their second Premier League win of the season this afternoon when they take on local rivals Arsenal in North London.
It will undoubtedly be a huge ask for Ange Postecoglou’s side to claim all three points, with Mikel Arteta’s side still unbeaten during the new campaign – winning two and drawing one of their first three matches in 2024/25.
The Lilywhites have failed to beat the Gunners in any of the last four meetings, dating back to May 2022, when they claimed a 3-0 victory thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.
Tottenham captain Heung-min Son
Boss Postecoglou has yet to beat Arteta’s men after taking the reins last summer, potentially having to drop one player if his side are to claim a derby day victory over their bitter rivals.
Why Wilson Odobert could be replaced for the North London derby
New addition Wilson Odobert arrived at Spurs in a £25m deal towards the end of the summer transfer window – strengthening the attacking options available at Postecoglou’s disposal.
The French U21 international has started both of the games since his move to North London, featuring for over an hour in the meetings with Everton and Newcastle United.
He’s yet to register a goal or assist following his big-money transfer from the Clarets and is yet to show that he has the quality, in the here and now, to make a big impact for Spurs in this clash.
At just 19 he has time to settle into life in the capital before making an impact at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which means that patience will be required with him.
Odobert has provided a solid option for Spurs in recent games, but given the importance of the fixture this weekend, he may be forced to make way and take his place on the bench.
He would be lucky to maintain his place, especially considering the potential return of one player who has missed the last couple of outings for the Lilywhites.
The man to replace Odobert against Arsenal
Striker Dominic Solanke has missed the last two league outings after suffering an ankle injury during his debut against Leicester City on the opening weekend of the campaign.
Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke
The 27-year-old moved to the capital in a club-record £65m move from fellow Premier League side Bournemouth – with Postecoglou looking to add further firepower to his attack.
The attacking “phenomenon”, as described by former Gunner Ian Wright, has yet to find the back of the net, but his tally of 19 league goals for the Cherries last season proves that he has the ability to cause chaos in the final third.

Whilst it’s unknown how much match fitness he will possess after his injury setback, Solanke does have the talent that could cause Arsenal’s backline a lot of trouble during the local derby.
Since the departure of Kane to Bayern Munich last summer, the club have lacked that number nine to help catapult the club into a top-four place in the Premier League.
It will undoubtedly be a cagey affair playing Arsenal, but the Englishman’s talent in attacking areas could provide the difference in the final third, ending the 28-month wait for a victory over their bitter rivals.

The Reds have only lost once this season and also have a game in hand on the Blues, meaning they could stretch their lead to seven points if they are victorious. Slot is delighted to be top of the table, but has marvelled at the unpredictable nature of the English top-flight.
WHAT SLOT SAID
Slot told reporters: "Of course it means something (to be top of the league), because you always prefer to be where we are at the moment rather than another position in the league table. But you know as well as I know as I've won the league once just how hard it is to win it. You have to keep on going every three days. You have to be on top of your game every minute of the game.
"That's why it's so hard to win it, because it's not so easy to show up every three or four days. You see last week, in a moment you can get a red card. These things can happen in a season. At Newcastle, we're 3-2 up and you expect to win it but we drop two points. That's the Premier League, I didn't expect Chelsea to drop points today as well, so it can happen in every game and that's what makes this league so special. That's why people want to see it and that's why we play at Christmas time."
